The Journey

He opened his eyes after a good four-hour sleep. It was the evening sun’s warm rays and cool breezy wind that woke him up. The softness of the sand that gave him a bed and the sounds of water reaching the shore that sang him a soothing song. That made his surrounding beautiful.

As the sun went down to vanish from the sky, a drop of tear flew down his eye. “Life..” he whispered underneath his breath and turned back to the road.

"I've been here before! It's not a new place nor a new trade for me. Just keep looking, I will get good pay for this." He is standing in the Queue in front of a trade shop, to sell one of his recent wooden arts. This wooden art is different from the rest he had made before. It resembles a beautiful house of middle age architecture. He also added the tech to his art this time. The house has an automatic Fountain system. He has his passion for showing his creativity through wooden arts. He always had come up with new art every time. But, he never got a fair pay.

"what are you up to, Son?" asked the trade master
"Well, as you can see Mr.Raghav! This is a well-designed piece of art with a middle age arch and modern age tech! Is this not exciting you Mr.Raghav?"
"Uhmm... This more looks like a house to me? You always play smart boy. Its just a house isn't it?"
"Yes. But with a Fountain! and I've used the finest of the woods to build it! Trust me, you can sell it for a good price in the Market."
"I think the otherwise son. However, Here is the money. I'll take it."
"Just 15 Pounds?! But it has a fountain system!!"
"uggh, ok. ill give 5 more. Nothing more than that. Deal?"
"Ok.."
"We're done doing business for today. Have a nice day."

His life was always easy for him. He only had one thing in his mind. to sell his arts at a fair price and make money for living. What else a young man like him can think of.

It was a bright morning. Bandit was up from sleep and was waiting for his master to wake up. Though he knew the fact that his master sleeps for long, He always tries to lick the face and bark so the master could wake up. The dog had really been an alarm for him. He found his dog on the seventh Board road fighting but scared and surrounded by a few other fierce stray dogs. Bandit was a 14-day old. Their bread, Cocker Spaniels always were known for the gratitude towards their masters and Bandit always had been because he was saved from 5 fierce dogs crowd and fed her food. As the saying goes "Dogs are loyal to men", he had always been.

At last! He woke up and He had to leave to the forest nearby the village to collect some fine wood for his work. there is a short walkway going from the middle of the forest which leads to the other side. However, Its a 4km walk from the place he slept last night. He had to warm up and walk a little bit.

He always thought of how his parents look like. He got separated from his parents when he was 3yrs old. He barely remembers his home. He joined the Orphan's when he was four. There he learned how to lead his life but never had exposure to the love of a mother.

Though he never expressed his loneliness to the world. He always believed, his parents will find him someday. When they do, all he wanted was a warm hug from his mother and a sweet talk with his father. he would show them how much he loves them and how bad he missed them beside him all these years.

With these thoughts in his mind, he reached the middle of the forest. he didn't sense the trap in the walkway. He was caught in the net which is used to catch deer and rabbits. It was a hard net to cut, as it is woven from grass, flaxes, and strong fibrous plant materials. Though he was a 5foot 11inch young man with an armed Axe and a small dog with him, he couldn't release himself from the net. So, he waited until the dark for the trap master to release him, waiting a few hours, he fell asleep. Bandit too...
